An anchor nut is a nut used on anchors. Its basic function is the same as that of a regular nut: its internal threads mate with the external threads of the anchor rod (or bolt) to secure and tighten the bolt. Generally, “nut” is synonymous with “nut cap” and is a key component used for securing mechanical parts.
