A nut is a cap that fastens onto a bolt or screw. It’s an essential component for all manufacturing machinery and comes in several different types, including carbon steel, stainless steel, and non-ferrous metals (such as copper).
Types:
Nuts securely connect mechanical equipment. Their internal threads allow nuts and bolts of the same size to be connected. For example, an M4-P0.7 nut can only be connected to an M4-P0.7 bolt (M4 refers to the nut’s inner diameter, approximately 4mm, and 0.7 refers to the distance between the threads, which is 0.7mm). This also applies to American-made products. For example, a 1/4-20 nut can only be used with a 1/4-20 screw (1/4 refers to the nut’s inner diameter, approximately 0.25 inches, and 20 refers to the 20 threads per inch). Stainless steel

Loosening prevention mechanism:
The DISC-LOCK locknut consists of two parts, each with staggered cams. Due to the internal wedge design, the slope angle is greater than the nut angle of the bolt, allowing the combination to lock tightly together. When vibration occurs, the raised parts of the DISC-LOCK locknut shift against each other, generating lifting tension, achieving a perfect loosening prevention effect.

Standards in the National Standard, the German Standard, and the Japanese Standard use “M” (e.g., M8, M16), while American and Imperial Standards use fractions or “#” (e.g., 8#, 10#, 1/4, 3/8).
